I just watched this Indie Film as I have been looking for more substance from my movies lately instead of Hollywood's unimaginative, fast panning, video game remaking, blow it up, and never even see a bruise after a fight style.
Well INK is none of that. I am still not sure if I liked it, or hated it, but it was most decidedly different.
I won't give away any spoilers. I have read some reviews that hailed it as great and that sort. Some even say it was uplifting. I found it depressing. It actually made me cry.
However: it was interesting and quirky. Who Knows maybe you'll like it. And if you do, and find it uplifting and grand, please explain to me how, because I did not see that aspect.
OK maybe the end was heartfelt, but still.....

The IMDB synopsis wasn't very clear so I went out to wikipedia. After reading the plot I decided I needed to first determine if I should be stoned or not in order to watch this movie and make any sense of it.

There is no way of reading what you will feel while watching a movie. This movie in particular. It has to be felt, not described.
Try it out. What's the worst that can happen? You'll have wasted a spot on your Netflix Quee and some time. If you really hate it, turn it off and post what an ass I am for bringing it to your attention.
I'm not saying it was good or bad, I really don't know . Ink does however leave you thinking, which is far, far better than what the big boys in Hollywood have been doing.
It reminds me of watching MOON. I loved MOON. It was thoughtful and drew you in. I bought MOON Iloved it so much, INK I'm still digesting, which is a sign of how thought provoking it was.
Will I buy it? I just don't know.
Will I think about it? Absolutely.

Thanks for recommending this Dave, watched it last night and was really moved by it. I will go as far as to say it's one of the most emotionally and mentally challenging movies I've ever seen. I drew so many parallels between this movie , my life , and the people in it that it was almost overwhelming.

For everyone reading this thread please don't go to Wiki and read the stupid description of this movie. Ink isn't something to be "figured out" like a dumb Hollywood action plot. You are either ready to accept the truth behind this movie or your not. IT's as simple as that, this movie will either
1) strike a chord in you
or
2) it will annoy you.
I can say I was in category 2 for a for the first 40 years of my life.

Will I think about it? Absolutely. | Moon was very good but ultimately depressing. This movie on the other hand had a great ending, I'm surprised you said

He ultimately makes the right choice, saving his daughter and his own soul as well. I really connected with the part where the story-tellers (Angels in my mind) , helped nudge him in the right direction. I think we're given those little cue's every day in our lives and we simply have to listen to them instead of the succubus whispering lie's in our ears and playing to our fears and Ego's. I found the other characters in Ink's Journey are perfect examples of our failings as human beings as he bartered for the keys to Hell. They represented greed, selfishness, cruelty, vanity and worst of all his own self-loathing which pushed him down this road.

Dragan "INK' was filmed in Colorado, could you tell, or was it it city no where near you?
I also agree with your synopsis, I felt for INK, because he was me. Also with my Little 3 year old Granddaughter living with my now I felt for the Little girl too, a whole lot. I had just finished watch "INK" when I posted so I was still in the moment of my overwhelmed feelings.
Ink's journey was the overwhelming part, and I was still feeling it. The end of his journey was a triumph.
With some thoughts processed I can now say everyone should see this movie.
It will....... make you think.

. | Looks like it was filmed mostly in downtown Denver , Washington Park area and some foothills. I sorta recognized it but to be honest I avoid Denver, the streets and traffic make me claustrophobic and stressed out. Give me open roads and farm fields any day.
I was amazed that this guy did this with no major studio backing and even more amazed at the quality of the movie without the big bucks behind it. Goes to prove that money and good sotry-telling have nothing in common.
