unidentified screw? on HD 10F lenses, what tool do I need?

Hi all, I have got a set of HD 10 F Lenses in great shape, but the Ampro plates need to go on, they have a scew holding a peice of metal in place, what tool do I need to remove them?

Just cut the metal flange/ground clip off. that is for the sony 1292 or G90 where they grounded the lenses to the chassis.

I have to remove the screw as well cannot just cut the flange off or the plate will not be flush against the lens base.

You may have to drill it out from the back side. Them type screws are made to be non removable. For those that do not know Ampros,the lens plates fasten to the front side of the mount flange of the lens.

as you said I did just that lol, I really did not want to drill it as I was worried about the bits going onto the glass but I managed to cover them up and drilled the dam screws out, thanks though man!

33 peice security bit set, that did the job, if anyone else has this problem get that, screw removed no problem.

I'd just slot it with a Dremel and use a regular flathead screwdriver to back it out.

Really, there's no need to even remove it. It's not like using just 7 out of 8 mounting holes is going to be a problem.

You have not seen an Ampro mounting plate. It HAS to be removed. The plate bolts to the FRONT of the lens mounting flange.

If you do not move it the mounting plate will not be flush and the lens will then be at a angle convergence will be even more impossible!
