Yes, I was happy to find a XG110LC with GREAT tubes 9/10 allround and low hours (edit: 9/10 offcourse, stupid typo)

Tubes were probably exchanged or in some way alltered following a LC-chamber leakage.
And that means someone has redone the magnetics... and didnt put any kind of seal on. Since the astig magnets move very easily on this one i guess they have moved around during transport.

So the question is, do i need to consider anything prior to adjust astig at the tubes, like unplugging focus/astig coils (like on a marquee) or set any default values in the menus ?

Other question is, how much should one suspect the focus board to be faulty ?
The problem i have is with the red tube, wich also happens to be in need of magnetics setup. I cant get good focus on left and right side.
Top and bottom thou is acceptable.
Why i've decided for magnetics tinkering is cause of the "dots" on right side are triangles.... at best.

And on to a third problem: bleeding.
I had it on the marq 8500 on green tube... turned out to be the neckboard, and two particular capacitors on it, curtie shiped me a good one and the problem was instantly cured.
Does the XG even have similar capacitors on the neckboards ?
The symptoms are a bit fimiliar anyhow.

//halloweencheers from sweden !

(edit: damn i type bad)

You need the focus board repaired/replaced, it's bad. THe XG circuit is completely different from the Marquee, no caps to go bad on it.

When doing astig on the neck, zero out the electronic astig numbers in the menu.

That was just as i did after some hours of coffe and experimentation .. hehe, Managed to get better focus overall at last on the red.
Also realized that my freeform throw-distance, wich is much closer than what the manual says, was not in tune with the "lens-tabs" you set for certain screensizes.
I Do like more phosphor-usage then what the manual's setups gives, so i have it closer. Some tinkering with the tabs did wonders for the focus ... no big surprise, right :=)

But theres some bleeding on mostly green tube thats giving med some headache left to sort out. Gonna post a picture as soon as i've gotten home again.

So.. some months with the beast.
I have learned some of its quirks.

There is a few problems... as with above mentioned focus board. Cant afford one right now, and the red tube performs rather good anyway.

But lets try to tackle another one:

There is som rather bad bleeding going on, like i said in the first post.
And now its geting worse.
Its on all tubes, but green seems to be having most of it. Regardless of contrast or brightnes levels.

Somewhere i have a distant fading memory of someone mentioning something about caps on a videoboard ... anyone knowing of it ?
