Hi all, I have the HD10's on my 10pg and have a chance at a set of GT17's. Will the GT17's give me better edge focus?

I'm at 154" from the screen wall with a 120" 16:9 screen.

Do I want them, or am I better off with my HD10's?

Thanks to all for the guidance.

Well, I installed them. The resolution is truly better than my HD10's because I could see scan lines where there were none before. I ran my system for years at 1080i because there was no difference in PQ between 1080i and 1080p as far as I could tell. Why stress the PJ if there was no improvement? Well, with the GT17's, there was obviously more PQ to be gained.

I have run video via component through a DVDO VP30 to my 10PG for a long time. I bought a HDFury1 a couple years ago and never got through the setup...for several reasons. However, since it was obvious that the lenses could do more, I decided to dive into the HDF setup once more. Many have told me that the HDMI output of the PS3 was far superior to component (Kal being one) so I jumped back in. After an interesting Saturday, I was able to integrate the HDF into my system and the PQ improvement was pretty substantial. I created a 1080P profile in the PJ and set it up from scratch. I used the VP30 to provide the signal initially, then I added the HDF which then locked on the profile. I'm using the VP30 to control gamma, and not using pass through, which was a problem in the past. I'm using the VP30 to manage the image shift issue so the PJ is not called upon to do it.

I'm seeing detail I did not know existed before, and for only $160 out of pocket. (I have the old lenses sold if I can just find a box to ship them in...)
