when I attempt to get the green lens flapping correct I get green flare in the top left and bottom right I have equaled it out to be about the same in both areas.
when you go into ZONE focus it really stands out.
any ideas?

The only adjustment needed to the flapping for green is to put it in the neutral position if it isn't already. Make sure the lens bed is parallel to the front of the chassis frame.

I highly recommended that you use the phosphor grain technique for lens flapping. Similar to using it for optical focus.

Depending on how much raster you use, you may always have some flare. It won't be near as noticeable when watching video.

winduptoy,
just one question, how perfect can it be ? one edge is machined and the other is cast.
should I just put a flat machined edge on the flat machined edge and run the cast (lens bed ) is up against it ?
to make it as square as possible.

nevermind that wont work the top edge does not align with the bottom edge.
I can measure the bottom of the lens bed to the frame from the left side to the right side
but that is all, the top is impossible to measure as far as i can tell.
as are the side edges.

It doesn't have to be flush, just square. There will be some offset. Just make sure it is the same on both sides.
