Hello,

I've bought a few weeks ago a sony d50 crt pj. Works fine. Just 870 hours. By using the enter, enter arrow up, arrow down, enter button combination I have been able to open the serviceman menu several times. Nothing strange happened. Now its not working anymore. The remote control is working, batteries are fresh. It is also impossible to save anything with the memory button.

Does anybody now how to solve this problem, is there a hidden button on the projector to do a hardware reset?

Thank you, Simon

If you haven't already done so, the owners manual for the D50 should explain how to use the remote successfully:

Hope it helps! Very Happy

Does it not work from the on-board control panel, either?

I have the original manual, and i read it several times.

The first times I was able to enter the serviceman menu, by pressing enter, enter, arrow up, down, enter.
Now nothing happens, when I press the button combination on the projector itself or the remote control nothing happens.

When I press the memory button on the remote or the pj, it used to generated a message ( i cannot remember)
Now nothing happens.

Other buttons (menu), rgb b and red shift function normally, but i am not able to store anything in the memory.

My interpretation is that something in the memory changed. I dont think it is the remote control because the button combination on the pj does not function normally either.
