I am looking for the mechanical astig adjustment on my g70, I cannot find anything in the manual I
have. Please be precise as I know almost nothing about the parts inside the unit.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

There isn't one. It's in the focus menu.
You REALLY need to read the manual, start on page 1 and work forward. I've been reading your questions, and either you're not reading the manual, you have an incomplete copy, or you're jumping around. Follow the Sony manual, it's really well written with lots of pictures.

There are two pole magnet tabs for astig adjustment label A. Two plastic tabs labeled H and V if memory serves me, on tube neck.

The manual has a crappy sketch.
With my G70 I found mechanically adjusting the yokes and astig tabs before electronic adjustment reduced drift considerably.
Now I can just turn on the set, grab a beverage and start watching.
Your mileage may vary.

Usually the Sony G70's don't need the mechanical astig done. It never hurts to adjust the DY coil though as that definitely helps with convergence stability.
Just get the unit set up according to the Install Manual like Curt says. After you master that, then try other tweaks if you are game.

I played with those on my service chassis and didn't notice any change in the image. However that machine's setup is less than optimal.

I am pretty sure the 2 tabs that are marked F in the Tube assembly Pic behined the DY coil are to adjust the Raster centering magnets ..
