Hi all,
Just wondering if Sony 1000 tubes would fit into my sony 1271. The only reason I am asking is I brought a 1271 which I have just had fixed and serviced. There is a sony 1000 on a local auction site for $50.00
Also there is a seleco for sale on the same site, starting bid $50.00 how do they compare with the 1271?
Crt projctors don't come up that often for sale in New Zealand.

Cheers

Rhys

Nope, totally different tubes I'm afraid. The Seleco is on par most likely with the Sony 1000, but far less parts are available for it.

Hi Electrogeek,
Glad I'm not the only Kiwi on the site
I am very new to Crt projectors hence all the questions. I picked up my sony 1271 on trademe for $60.00, got it repaired as it was sold with a fault. The sony 1000 that is currently on trademe was on there a couple of weeks ago, either the sale did not go through or its another one up for sale.
I have been wondering if another 1271 will come up for auction as a back up for parts

Same applies here in Australia, CRTs dont come up very often here either. There was a time a couple years ago there was a fair few, but up til very recently there was bugger all coming up over here too.
