I just moved into an apartment and the way the ceiling beams run does not allow me to mount my G70 Sad I was pondering selling it, but I have no idea how to properly package and transport this. When I bought it from Curt he did a great job crating and shipping it, but I didn't have the room to keep the crate in storage. Anyone have a good idea of what to do with a Sony G70 in great working condition with a moome card in it?

I forgot I had access to a machine shop and steel.

The joists in the apartment run parallel to my screen surface. Anyone have an idea of how thick a steel plate I should use if I want to just span 3 joists and mount the projector bracket to the plate with machine screws?

Use uni strut or Super strutt instead. it is a channeled Beam they has these sliding fasteners with threaded rods that come down. Its the easiest way and you can cut it to span as many joists as you want.

Home depot carries it in the electrical section.
