hello,

i have now my marquee for about one year and still have two little problems. now i have some money left (no so usual as a student) and maybe want to spend it to fix these.

First thing is that it doesn't save convergence very well most of the time and i have to do a recalibration before watching which takes about 5-10minutes. sometimes i have a strange vertical bow which can only be corrected by recalibrate every single vertical test grid line.

second thing is picture loss, it looses the picture for about one second up to every 5 minutes. as hotter the projector gets as often it happens.

any idea what board can cause these problems ? maybe bad caps ?

already tried to clean all connectors and the chips on the clb with deoxit but without success.

and please excuse my english, i'm not a native speaker Wink

best regards
manuel

Id change all the Small Yellow Tantalum capacitors on the CLB first step, also the electrolytic's there as well.

When doing convergence always do it after the Projector warms up for at least 30 minutes. Then I would warm up the PJ for about 30 minuts before watching. that is why you have to converge it each time before watching as your converging it cold .

Then you'd might look into replacing the Capacitors on the CVA board next if it still drifts too much after you do the above things.

PM Curt or Draganm, both could update it if you don't want to yourself.

See here https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=16113.html for Draganm's mods.

Hi - I would not start modding the CLM to fix a reliability issue. Have you tested the CLM battery?

see link below for explanation
https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=9608.html

these are the parts i used you can of course choose a different brand.

oh and these you can use all over the pj and on the daughterboards of the clm to replace the electrolytics there.

http://nl.farnell.com/nichicon/plf1e220mcl7/capacitor-22uf-25v/dp/1580596

you can order 50 to be sure you have enough if you want to replace them on the astig and hdm too.

all the ordercodes are in the links you can go to farnell osterreich and search with just the ordercode so you will get the same item.

example in the last link the ordercode is :1580596

http://at.farnell.com/nichicon/plf1e220mcl7/capacitor-22uf-25v/dp/1580596?Ntt=1580596
same item.
