Has anyone tried taking an 07MS tube out of the housing?

TV/Projector: All of them!

This is a new adventure for me. Smile

I managed to get an ECP 4500 that has the latest model P14 tubes in it, the same that are used in a Sony D50. Blue tube is an 8, R and G are perfect.

I want to try and take the raw glass tube out of the 07MS/SD187 housing and transplant it into the D50 frame.

Any recommendations? I'm assuming it's the same old turpentine/gasoline soak for 24 hours to loosen the silicone?

Not sure if soaking is good for Sony tubes, because these have that white cement between faceplate and bell. It's quite fragile stuff and newer tested how well it's standing turpentine, because even leaked glycol seem to solving that cement.

I have first cutted front glass and then frame from both sides.
