I have the Extron ADA 2 300 model (must be an earlier version rated at 300Mhz) and it does a great job to deliver a clean VGA signal. I used to have a slight signal reduction caused by looping the VGA through an HDTV tuner card and the output from the Extron cleaned and provided a stronger signal (restored contrast & eliminated noise). Can't say I ever drove the lengths you are using but it is a very capable device.

You have a ground loop.

Plug the PC and the CRT into the same outlet, and unplug the sound (for testing). Just use the one outlet.

VGA from a PC should be fine. I'm running mine through a NEC switcher (to split the signal), but direct works fine too.

If you wan't a good line driver, just use a crystalio II. Much better then the extron device and the best you can get on both HDMI and RGBHV

Why barco focus coils, or are you hoping to find the 909?

Oh, I and I don't think you need to buy anything.

Do some testing first. Sort out if it is a ground loop.

in my case it helped to turn some plugs around, maybe that can help in your setup too

Wow, what about Fleabay?

You shouldn't need it though if you have nothing odd in your signal path and lengths are less than 25 feet.
