i have recently acquired 3 pg extras 2 of them are 9's and 1 is a 6. the 6 is missing some boards and one of the 9's is missing a deflection board and the 6 is missing a deflection board and the system board. i would like to get all of them working at 1080p but the 6 is only good for up to 1080i so i am wondering what boards are different between the 6 and 9 that makes the 6 not capable of doing 1080p. if it is just one board i would try to buy the one that would make a 6 a 9 otherwise i will just part out whats left of the 6.

PGXtra at 1080p? What's the point? You'd never see the resolution anyhow...720p is perfect for that set.

6 and 9 are the same. There is no real world performance difference. None are really capable of 1080p.

If one of the 6's is a 6200(A) model then it is better, as it is newer and has some tweaks to the setup menu and should have HD-144 lenses (cream surrounds).

Otherwise, make the one with the best tubes work.

1080i is the best res for an Xtra.
