I don't know if this classifies as a "for sale" link (I'm sure it will get nuked if that's the case Mr. Green ) but someone needs to stop this gut from having his G90 taken to the tip!

I think the guy might be legit. There are a lot of people that skim AVS for a little knowledge on HT, but leave most of it to their installer. I realize this may be foreign to some, but there are a lot of people that just want something and don't care to do the research or work.

OH MY F**^#G GOD!!!

This is what the guy said in his PM to me:

Thanks for the offer Jeremy but unfortunately, the installer hauled it away yesterday and dropped it off at the recycle center before I contacted them today. I didn't realize they were going to move so fast on it but I guess it was in their way of doing the rest of the installation work. My BAD for not checking into this earlier but I didn't know that removing the projector was one of the first items on their work list.

Still sounds fishy... So, PM the guy back and ask him to get the contact info for the "recycling center", then go buy the damn thing back out of their inventory.

Just sent him a PM asking him for contact info for both the installer who removed it and the recycling company, we'll see if he follows through Very Happy

I got the same message but i asked for the upper part of the ceiling mount as well.

Thanks for the offer Athanasios but unfortunately, the installer hauled it away yesterday and dropped it off at the recycle center before I contacted them today. I am checking to see if the Ceiling mount is still there and will let you know.

Latest from G90 Recycle dude:

I'm trying to get the info for the recycle center from the installer. There are some local people who have contacted me for the same, so they may beat you to it in terms of rescuing the projector or at least getting some spare parts.

I am definitely going to make sure that my A/V company knows there is such a high level of interest in these things. They installed a bunch of them in the DC area 10 years ago, so they are probably doing numerous upgrades like mine (or already have). I'll make sure they know to post on AVForums when they have these units available in the future.

Personally I don't know whats so hard about getting ahold of the installer who was just there, and should answer right away if they are any kind of quality installer...

Honestly I don't care who gets it, I'd love to have it, but I'd preffer it not getting boned out

Look for a G90 on ebay in a day or two, unless they kept it for themselves.

Ok Guys if any one is near hear i think it might worth it to go see if they can salvage anything from this PJ if they didnt just dump it
out the back of a pick up. here is what i got in a PM i just looked at.

The G90 and its mount was taken to The Montgomery County Solid Waste Transfer Station and recycling center beside the metro station at Shady Grove Rd. and Rt. 355.

Tony says they put it I the scrap rather than recycling pile even though we indicated there were precious metal and other recyclable materials inside.

I doubt I could do any good by calling but some one near by might get lucky.

Judas Priest.

Effing Morons.

That, or that's the story, and it's in one of their basements now and the recycling center is the cover story... "The projector? Oh, we put it in a scrap pile. No idea what happened to it after that."
