Jeff, you need to specify whether you're talking about 1080i (interlaced) or 1080p (progressive). 1080p is definitely a no-go on your machine... But, according to everything I'm reading on the 900x, it should be able to synch to both 720p and 1080i.
I'll assume you're talking about 1080i since one of your sources is the TS160... If you can't get it to synch to 1080i from either the Blu-ray or the TS160, then something is probably wrong somewhere.
Could you remind me how you're connecting your sources to the projector?

I'm pretty sure this is a sync issue.
First, the projector... Go to your internal menus and find the "sync mode" menu... See if maybe sync is set to "negative" or "composite", and see if you can change it to "HDTV" or "tri-level" or something along those lines, or if it's already set to something else, see if you can set it to "auto".... Or, just try changing it whatever settings aren't set.
Which HDMI-RGB adapter are you using? HD Fury? If so, which one?

OK, HD Fury 3 - That's great... If you don't get anywhere with the projector's sync menu, the HD Fury 3 has configurable negative/positive sync we can try next. But, play around with the projector sync first before you fool with the microscopic DIP switches on the Fury.

Hmm... OK, so try sync inputs terminated, and then if that doesn't get you anywhere, we can try reversing sync on the HD Fury 3 (even though the Zenith manual says it can handle neg or pos sync.

ok i changed to sync inputs terminated and the 1080i picture off the ts 160 is flashing but it seems to hold a picture longer between flashs the longer i wait the longer the picture lasts this might just have fixed it if a give it a little more time.

You can download the manual from the HDFury3 page: www.curtpalme/com/HDfury3.shtm
Try setting the switch on the side of the GammaX to INV
Set DIP switch 7 and 8 to off on the HDfury3

well, while i am waiting on my wife to get home i started checking the settings on my bd i ran across one i dont understand.
ycbcr/rgb(hdmi) (it says) set the color space conversion for the video signal from hdmi
the options are as follows
ycbcr 4:2:2
ycbr 4:4:4
rgb 16-235
rgb 0-255
my current setting is ycbr 4:4:4
any ideas?

You can either use 4:2:2 or RGB 0-255 depending on which looks better. You can try them all if you like
