Digital coaxial audio can use a standard RCA cable, yes.

Not only can it, it should... Coaxial SPDIF is designed around the same 75-ohm coaxial cable that composite/baseband video uses.

How come you couldn't find the index again, Jeff? Do you see the links at the top and bottom of every thread that says "CurtPalme.com Forum Index" ?

If you have more sources than inputs on your receiver/preamp, you can use an outboard switch... There are lots of options, but they don't get much cheaper than this component switch from monoprice:
4 Port Component Video Switch w/ IR Learning

You might also be able to find a composite video switcher that would also work for next to nothing on fleabay.

You need to use a 75 ohm digital or even a video RCA cable will work, but use a good quality
cable.

Look for an older Composite or component video switcher . If using a component switcher for example use green in and green out, that is, the same color. look for the old monster branded Entec switchers, i had the component one and used it for that purpose for a while before I bought a B&K Digital switcher that also had optical and converted to coax.

here is a review of this old switcher, it really did a great job back in 1998 and should do what you want.

id look on e-bay or craigs list.
