My 1209s started doing something strange last night. It seems like on darker scenes the green and sometimes the blue shrinks vertically at random. The red appears to be unaffected.

When it goes to black there sometimes is an orange glow along the top and bottom of the image as well. I tried rewinding the dvr to see if it would repeat and it appeared to be exactly the same.

I let it cool off overnite and put in a dvd and switched to that input and it had the same problem so temperature does not appear to be the problem.

All inputs go thru a switcher to the hdfury1 and into the pj. I can take the switcher out of the chain to see if that is it but if not then what could it be?

Any suggestions? Question

When it does it again, go into the test pattern and see if it does it there as well.

The test pattern appears to be rolling over at the top when it does it. Turning the brightness up makes it go away but I don't want to run the brightness over 50 do I?

I have some boards from an older barco, not sure if they can be used in this one. Curt is supposed to be here today, I'll have him look at it.

Curt suggested maybe the 17.5V rail has drifted or possibly the vertical board has a problem. I noticed the power on LED dims when the colors roll too. Seems like a power supply issue.

I don't know Barcos well, but this "orange glow along the top and bottom of the image as well" sounds very vertical deflection related to me.
