Someone local to me is considering a stack with two Dwin 700's. They can do 1080i, and are very quiet. Has anyone here done it? I know most guys would say to use a better projector but he already has one and if he bought mine he might get a pretty good setup for really cheap.

That should work fine. With their point convergence, each set should have enough range to do it.

That's what I was thinking. 1100 x 2 is a lot of lumens. He could almost watch that in daylight. Smile

Is that because they don't have enough scheimpflug? He may not have high enough ceilings for top/bottom.

You can do plenty of scheimpflug with the Dwins. Just adjust the nuts that hold the lenses on those long bolts and you'll have more adjustment than you get with most "real" scheimpflug setups. It's a PITA but it can work.

You could do a litteral stack, provided the adjustments are there. Or tilt the projectors to go for near(!) on-axis projection.
