I can't seem to find the template for the plexiglass DIY HD144/145 adapter for Marquee. Could someone link me to it?

If I can't find it, I'll be forced to hack things up like in this thread:

I made mine out of MDF.
I also cut the aluminum plates to avoid making damage to the lenses. A drill press and metal cutting bit takes care of that. Some sort of lubricant is a good idea.

It's not that hard to do.

A hole of the right dia in the middle. The four corners cut. The holes can be marked with a pencil when needed.

Thanks for the info. I've read in a few threads that there is a template or directions out there, but I can't find it. Also had a nice offer from a forum member to sell me his joust adapters at a decent price. But all my extra cash is tied up in my bathroom remodel right now. So if I can DIY this for a few dollars, that's what I need to do.

How did you make your adapter? Did you just look things over and it was pretty obvious? What aluminum plates did you have to cut? What's the hole in the middle for?

I've had offers for HD144 lens, but I want the HD145 because I've read it's better for 90"+ wide screens. And a potential seller is out there. Just waiting for him to get off his behind and send me the paypal invoice so I can complete the purchase!

Well the hole in the middle is for the lens.
I cut mine by drilling a small pilot hole in the middle, then nailing it to a board so it can be rotated, then used a cutting bit in the drill press and rotated the MDF giving me a round hole. Or you can use a router if you have one.
The hole for the old lens is used to fasten the adapter. Can be marked with a nail for drilling.
The corners of the MDF is cut to clear for the springs.

The front plate was machined out as you see in the picture. You can make the cutout a lot bigger to avoid filing as much.

To attach the lens I used brass nuts that you hammer into a smaller drilled hole. Seems to hold just fine.

Spray painted it black on the side facing the CRT. With normal focus the back is pretty much even with the 12mm MDF.

I had an extra set aluminum pates so I didn't worry about damaging them. The lenses however I don't want to damage.

what I offered is exactly the thing in the link Chris posted.
Except mine are aluminum, cut on a flowjet.
so , same direction as far as I can see.

I thought I was doing you a favour by offering you "my wares" at half price.
You were unclear as to your "Other Direction" I assumed that to mean you did not want my standard offering and wanted to go with the design posted in the link. You could have answered the PM with at least a "No thanks" or something. Ignorance is bad communication.

In that case, I'd recommend trying to hack and mod the HD8 bases as in that other thread.
removing the lens mounting plate is a pain. Cutting it is even more of a pain.
