Hey Guys,
I can't find a thread I thought I bookmarked a while back that lists the boards to disconnect when doing a 'from scratch' setup. Pi$$es me off as I knew I'd need it when I got to the point I'm at in my HT makeover.
Anybody have links? The Search function here is, well, less than useful and Google isn't being very friendly for me either.
Thanks!

Pull the CMM board out. Disconnect the focus yokes, too, to check basic magnetic focus. It should be pretty close, at least in the center of the image. If the yokes are at the perfect magnetic strength, the central focus will be excellent. Also the image should not shift much
if at all when you plug the focus yokes back in.
Your basic focus values in the center of the picture should be at 50 +/- 10 points. 20 at the most. If it's outside those limits, you should
be looking for another set of focus yokes or get the original set recalibrated. Someone here can help get that done but I'm not going
to volunteer his services for him.

I just happened to do a full initialization and setup yesterday to squeeze that last ounce of performance when I noticed this morning Nash mention to disconnect the astig board. I didn't do this and I never have. I did zero out all zones of electronic astig to 50/50 before adjusting the CPC magnets. Is this reasonably acceptable? I managed to get the astig looking pretty darn sweet not to mention the end result is visually stunning. I'm not going to go back and go over it anytime soon but I'm just curious for future reference.
Thanks,
John
