Im renting a house that has a sony 1272. Everything is already setup and in place all that needs to be done is getting a media to play through it, mostly just cable for sports and a VCR for movies. Our VCR has no S-video and being that i have never dealt with one of these i thought i could run Audio/video out of the VCR into a switcher and S-video out of the switcher into the projector.....no dice. I have nothing on the VCR that can actually plug into this projector so im looking for some help on how to get some picture out of this thing. Sure would be a shame and a huge eyesore if it just sat in our living room, not to mention the screen takes up a whole wall. Any help would be nice for us as long as we dont have to go buy a newer VCR or any other new media. Thank you

Okay went out and got the needed part and even some extras incase that didnt workout and the projector is still telling me that there is NO INPUT. I even tried using a Coax adapter to just run the cable right and...nothing. No clue. Any ideas out there on what might be going on?

I would suggest reading the information on this site regarding the 12xx models and the FAQ Hooking it all up. That will help you understand what needs to happen to make this work. Where are you located?

Son, the first thing you need to know is that you're not renting a house that has a 1272. You're renting a 1272 that has a house.

Beyond that... Buy a newer VCR? Are you kidding? You could probably look on craigslist for an hour and get five free DVD players! What the hell?
