Hello.
I am finally in the process of mounting my bd808s on the ceiling.
Unfortunately there seems to be no simple way of getting hold of strut channel where i live.
I do have an old mount but it is to high for my ceiling.
So what is the easiest way of mounting without unistrut and on a low ceiling?
No access to any rafters or such things, this is a concrete roof.
kindly bofr

So, where do you live?
You can use simple hook mounted chain mounting for most projectors. You just lose out on the ability to square the projector very well.

This. And I really, really suggest against it.

Heh. I admit that the thought of using chains like that had crossed my mind. Doesn't seem very stable though.
I think that the simplest solution would be to mount the projector on four threaded rods rammed straight into the
cieling.
No possibillity to adjust anything like that.
Preferably i would like at least some room for adjustment and also be able to mount a winch.
I live in the southernmost part of sweden, if anyone knows where a private citizen might buy strut channel then of course that would be the simplest solution. I know of a couple of places where you could buy the stuff as long as its for a company.
(And even if i could buy there, they charge a small fortune)

Hey Bofr, you should see if you can find someone or somewhere in another country that will sell you the unistrut, and ship it to you. That might be the plan

Shipping large pieces of metal doesn't seem neither practical nor cheap.
I think a strut-based solution pretty much requires that one can buy the stuff somewhere within driving distance.
Anyway.. I solved the problem.
Managed to cut down the existing mount enough so that most people wont bang their heads against it.
Luckily the mount was welded together from pieces of thick steel, made cutting it down pretty simple.
