OK...this is probably the most bizarre thing I've seen with my 8500, and it's given me plenty of reason to scratch my bald spot bigger over the years.

When shifting the image in Guided Mechanical Setup, pressing up while on the red tube shifts the green up and down. L&R functions as it should. When I move to the green tube, pressing up and down shifts the red tube but L&R is OK. The blue tube does as it should in all directions. WTF!

I checked all the cable and everything is good. I checked the corded remote as it's fallen a couple feet on it's cord a few times and it's secure. I haven't pulled the CLM to check it and reseat everything (again...just had it out for cleaning and to reflow the solder joints...yeah, gotta check them yet too...maybe a solder whisker f-ing it up). Until I do that's what I have going on for now.

Normally I love the detective work but right now I just want to watch a freeking movie!!! Laughing (haven't been able to for 3 months!)

It sounds like the red and green harnesses are swapped at the vertical deflection module.

Hmmmm. Coulda sworn I checked but again...running on little sleep as I try to get most of this done before the long weekend is over.
Time to slow things down a little before I blow something. Rolling Eyes

haha i had something similair last week.
i changed out the caps on the focus board for dynamic focus and after reinstalling zone focus only worked on green.
i of course thought i messed up but the cables for blue and red weren`t in the right place.

Embarassed Ummm, erm, yeah. *sigh* My bad. I marked the HDM connectors wrong. Technically I got them in the right place as I marked them. Does that count? No? I didn't think so. Mr. Green
Thanks guys.
