XG internal card vs external box

I've done a bit of looking around and I want to get into a newer Moome box. However to buy the internal card means a great deal of work involved to remove my hushbox and projector to run a new HDMI cable to the PJ.
I am wondering if the difference between the XG card and the Ext Box is great enough to warrent the hassle. They look like the same electronics involved.

I've just noticed that the DAC's are different in the two units 10bit vs 12bit (XG model)
