Hi
I have been using runco 980 ultra for the last 4 years everything worked and s picture is great
There is seem to be a problems that started about 3 months ago that the picture moved very rapid from left to right in very small increments
After about 30 sec it was stabled now it becomes more often and sometimes it doesn’t stop.
Anyone have an idea where is the problem?
I'm using htpc and dune streamer both at 1080i

Can you post a short video clip? That's unusual, but I'd suspect the deflection board.

Might be just the deflection coil connections on the deflection board - the ones you swap around for floor ceiling.
Just reseat the a few times and make sure the connection is good.

I think this might be the problem because i didn't opened and clean the projector for a long time and we had some dust storms here so this could probably be the reason
will do it and let you know
hope this is the thing.

yesterday i opened the projector cover and checked the connection of the wires (the yellow and brown) to the deflection board. they are connected very well.
then a did some cleaning with a air blower.
after powering the projector on. the shaking accurse only for a few seconds and then the picture stabled.
not like before that i had to wait for 5 or 10 minute until it was stabled.
is there any kind off reset that i can do to the board? or the projector? but without losing my saved entires
thanks
shay

No, there isn't. you want to use some Caig contact cleaner to clean all contacts, including the yoke connectors. With a problem like this, it will be oxidation that you can't see on the connectors, and a cleaner like Caig will stabilize the set.

hi Mark_A_W
i have done what you told me pulled out the (brown and yellow wires) and plugged them inside again
it seems like it helped but didn't solve the problem for good.
maybe i will take out the board to a technician and will tell him to check the connection on the board?

No, if you have reseated the connectors, then it's something else. Normally reseating those deflection connectors fixes it.
It's time to try another deflection board.

I'd leave it for now. If it comes back, swap the deflection board. I've got those in stock.
