Hi,

I recently got myself an ECP 4100. At least is says so on the label.
When reading manuals for the 4100 and looking at picture of an 4100 they don't look like mine at all.
When I investigated further I found it's case looks like an 4500.

It has the old style focusing board and I guess newer 07MS tubes (since it has that extra resistor)
I can't focus so the big resistor is probably broken, I'm gonna change that soon.

I was missing boards, horz proc and video input. I bought some from an 4100 and they works fine.

So what is it, 4100 or 4500? They seem very similiar anyway. Did they make some 'inbetween' version?

/B

Who knows? Smile

I know the later 4100s did have stock 07MS tubes, but the set could also be on its second or third set of tubes depending on the use. I have had sets in as well where the covers were switched, but usually the sticker by the AC input connector will have the right model number on it. Don't go by the sticker on the top lid.

The sticker on the base says ECP 4100 so I assume that is the correct model.

Since it was owned by a military defence company earlier, I guess the have had the money to upgrade it Smile
