Hi all,
I've recently acquired a minty G90 and been reading around to familiarize myself with it. I found in the advance procedure an article about venting the tubes to relieve pressure. Is this something I should check right away before setting it up? Also it seems like I have to remove the tubes to do it, or is there another way? G90 owners please help. Any other information would be appreciated.

You should be able to poke your finger onto the bellows and check if it's squishy or firm. Then decide if pressure needs to be relieved to avoid possible damage. Although less likely to be damaging with LC tubes it has still been shown to crack the glass.

I can't see where I can push against the bellows, it seems like it's a lot more difficult than a marquee.

It have steel bellows under adjustments rings and expancion tank with bellows like many other Sony tubes. That bellows have pretty much space for expansion, so there shouldn't be need for bleeding.

I saw that article, but wasn't sure if it means that the machine was built to compensate for that. Thank you for the clarification.
