Hi everyone.

Now that the ceiling and walls are painted in my cave, I've re-hung my PJ and started playing around again... Smile

One task that I got quite hung up on was the vertical alignment of the optics during the initial setup. Keep in mind I'm a noob here, but it seems to me that it isn't possible to make any vertical mechanical adjustments on this chassis. It seems as if raster positioning is used to make this coarse adjustment. Is this normal?

If I take a straight edge and place it against the bottom side of the lenses, the green is higher by perhaps a millimeter (which translates to about a 2-3 cm error on the screen).

I am able to converge, but I'm wondering if I haven't done so by compensating incorrectly elsewhere.

Thanks!

Use the red vertical shift trim pot to line up the red raster with the green. Look in the layout and setup tips to see if you can find the trim pots. I set the vertical adjustment to 50 in my convergence menu and then line the raster up with the vertical shift trim pot. Hope this helps

Ah! I will look into this. It is actually the green that is shifted too far (the red/blue are close to each other) and the green raster is off the tube face when adjustments are centered.
