After fitting my new tube (probably unrelated), my 1292 started shutting down intermittently with the power down error 02.

It wasn't consistent, so I kept using it. Happened only a couple of times, lifting the lid got it going again, so I assumed it was a loose board, and I made a mental note to strip the machine down and reseat the boards, incase I'd upset something while fitting the new tube.

Until last night, plugged in the 360 ready for some modern warfare fun. The picture started to roll, slowly at first but getting faster and faster. I shut down immediately, left it for a while, then retried. The full white pattern came up but was flickering badly so I presumed it was still rolling.

Left it again, now when I power up I get no picture at all. The tubes are getting power as I can see the AKB lines at the bottom of the tube, no errors are displayed and the PJ stays on.

Anyone know of where I can start diagnosing the problem, what might have failed? So I can source a replacement or send off for repair.

It doesn't seem tube related, but I could try swapping back in my old blue tube and see if this makes a difference.

Off to the garage now to dig out my old Panny 8500 8" as I need a backup PJ until the Sony gets fixed. Crying or Very sad

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad.

Rolling can be caused for example by missing vertical sync or problem in deflection board.

Error code 02 seem to be related to deflection board, don't know Sonys name for that board. Those weird letter names don't make any sense to me. Very Happy
