Check out the # of digitals that people have owned over their CRTs. Hysterical!

Come on the examples on the digital side are just as wacky as the extremes on the CRT side, probably even less so. As I pointed out we all know people who have ahd two dozen or more CRT projectors, some even over the span of only a few years.

Clarence must have at least owned 50 or so.

bull, with the exception of greg1292 who for some reason changes CRT's every 60 days, most CRT guys including Clarence started with a 7" ES, maybe owned 1 or 2 8 inch EM focus, then eventually wind up with a 9 inch LC and leave it up for years. My 8500 has been up for 7 years now. When I get bored I do a little upgrade, I don't run out and drop $5K to $50K for latest whiz-bang plastic wonder box.

Yeah, CRTaholics are doing it for fun, because they enjoy tinkering with new CRTs. With the exception of people like darinp2, and some other people who just want the latest-greatest technology, many digital repeat-offenders are doing it because their projector died. Many of us have projector problems (after all these beasts are 10-20 years old), but the difference is that we can FIX ours instead of throwing them away.

You'll get high marks for continuously mentioning Gozer in class.

I think Clarence has owned a bunch. I am not sure if it is 50, but it is more than 5.

Greg is one special case. He seems to be a reseller who doesn't know or doesn't want to learn to much about CRTs. He only shows up every couple of months, but as soon as he does then you know he has something to sell.

I would have to say Darin should not be singled out and lumped in with people wanting the latest-greatest. He usually only buys pjs that are interesting to him. I don't think he modifies pjs anymore, but he used to open up and see what he could do to improve them. I think Darin has a lot in common with the CRT crowd who love to buy pjs and play with them.

I find it humorous that Steve made it a digital only thread. Wasn't he the one that used to go on about the Dwin?

Coldmachine (the Sim shill) says he has owned 14. I wonder how many of those were Sim and how many he actually bought.
