Is it straight pin for pin, or swapped pin 2 to 3.

It's been awhile since I've had to do a DB9 hookup to a Barco 909 and I've also upgraded my laptop. So I'm starting out new, not knowing if there's a problem with the Laptop or the connection.

I know how to use the software, just need to get it to communicate.

Mike, I don't think you will do any harm. Try it one way. If it doesn't work then try the other.
Is there a setting in the projectors menu to activate the port? How are you connecting to the laptop?
You may have to make all the connections first then re-boot the PC.

Thanks Chip.. Very Happy

It's a direct connect. I now have it working. I had to select the address that the projectors were programed to in the software in order for it to connect. T^he default was zero (0), but the projector was programmed to three (3).

Getting older confuses things, or I forget things as a result of getting older..Very Happy
