|
|
Hi,
I have a HDfury2 connected to my Hitachi projector pj-lc9. The problem is, that I don´t get any signal, when I use a 10 meter HDMI cable between the PS3 and the HDfury. If I use a 2 meter HDMI cable, it works perfectly. I have tried with 2 different 10 meter cables, but the result is the same - no picture!
I use the HDfury2 with the power supply, so the missing picture should not be due to lack of power, I assume?
I also have a Samsung set-top box. If I connect the set-top box using the 10 meter HDMI cable to the HDfury, it is working well.
Do I have some sort of "PS3-HDfury2-hdmi cable max. lenght" problem?
Hope someone can help?
Regards René

Hi René,
It sounds like you may need a better quality cable.
What model PS3 do you have Fat or Slim?

Hi Analogrocks,
Ok, maybe I need a better signal cable. However, the cable works ok with the samsung set-top box.
I have a PS3 slim version.

It's likely that the Samsung puts out more power over the HDMI than the PS3 does then.
What model is the Samsung?

It is a Samsung SMT-H3126.
However, if I connect the PS3 directly to my tv via the 10 meter hdmi cable, it also works fine.
