Hi guys,
On the BG 808 the SHARPNESS control does exactly what it is supposed to do in either composite or, svideo, but in RGB mode, the legend changes from "SHARPNESS" to "BANDWIDTH LIMITING" I have run this control from end to end, but cannot see what it is supposed to do, can someone please tell me what if anything there is to see in this mode, or explain what is actually taking place internally?
Many thanks

In some software versions sharpness doesn't do anything with RGB signals and in some there is that BW limiting text.
Sharpness control is not needed with any decent signals, it overshoot signal and ad false sharpness (edge enhancement) to picture.
I think BW limiting done nothing in my BG1200. Haven't checked if that even exist in my BG808s.
If you want to test if it's actually limiting BW, project 1 pixel on/off test pattern and see what happen.
If it's actually limiting BW, testpattern 1 on/off part should become blurry.
Or just leave it to minimum, where it should be with all signals types.
Here is how sharpness control is made in 808 driver board.
