Hi All,

I've replaced my faulty b-board with one I got from Brian and when I power the PJ on, the tubes come barely on. I can only see the menu, with no lenses attached, when I crank the contrast all the way to 100%. I guess one has to calibrate the b-board, I found an adjustment procedure on the service manual, section 3-2-2. My question is, will that solve my problem or are there more adjustments needed to fix my problem?

Thanks,

Hein.

Yep, I know when Replacing the E board complete that you need to Calibrate it and the PA boards but you also need a Special Expansion link so as to allow accessibility to the board's to perform the appropriate Adjustments...

Cheers...

Yeah,... Section 3-3-2 is what I find as well.

Don't know why one board should be so far out of whack to another but at least that section seems to have a method for adjusting it.

It says you need the extension board but maybe there's a work-around. Like making iterative adjustments.

Upon closer inspection, found both boards are completely different and even the part numbers are different! So I decided to repair my old b-board instead. Got it repaired on Saturday and after a complete setup, my PJ is now running smoothly.

Great!...

Glad to hear it's working now.

Just came here to get an update and this one is about as good as it gets.
