I paid $50.00 for this setup disk from Curt's site. One would think it would come in the proper region for the USA?

From the product page:
"This DVD is region free and recorded in PAL format on a DVD-R. Any player made in the last 5 years should not have a problem playing this disc (including players in North America or other countries where NTSC is the primary format used)."
I would contact Graham Johnson, you may have a bum disc.

Sounds like it's burned to data disc, that explain why it works in pc but not in stand alone player. Those usually shows only discs that are burned as video disc.
It's easy to fix, if you have dvd burner in your pc.
