Reseated the HV board...still error 21. f*ck!! These f'ing crt's can make me so f'ing mad!!! It was working last week at the house of the guy I bought it from. Did I say f*ck already?? Shipping damaged the HV board? Anything else I can try short of a new board? Did I say f*ck already?

Never mind...the green tube cracked...thus the junk in the glycol. Who wants a G70? I don't!!!!!

I even had him ship it with the lenses off...to prevent this sort of disaster! ANd of all the tubes...a perfect green was the one to go. f*ck!

Sorry to hear that Ben.

But lenses off doesn't help, the lenses are hard mounted to the chassis in a G70 (the tube moves for flapping BTW).


When I had a XG LC shipped to me I had the neckboards removed - that is what cracks tube necks.

agreed...I just had a look at the neck boards..they're freakin' huge! It's a wonder a G70 would ever ship successfully! f*ck!

Sony's and NEC's, all the magnetics and VNB's just hanging off the tube neck. Sad I remember a few years ago Curt shipped a 70 and all 3 snapped. On these machines wedging foam between the yokes and MB is the only way to add a little safety zone, of course that's too late now, sorry Ben Sad

I really wish I had known that...this seller would have done whatever I asked with regard to packing. Damn....This thing seems brand new, it's a real shame.
