That all depends on what the final result is. Do you still have anything that you need connected to the projector that is not HD? If the scaler has a HD or VGA pass input I would do this, HDMI sources to the receiver>output HDMI to the fury>output of the fury to the HD or VGA pass on the scaler> scaler to the projector. That way if you have any standard def stuff you'd like to view on the projector you can still tap into the system through the scaler. Still, there is many ways to do what you want and you'll probably get a half dozen different suggestions. It all depends on your needs.

Most DVD players output positive sync and only the fury 3 can change positive to negative sync. As I remember the Dwin 700 will only work with negative sync.

Gammax does neg sync.
That reciever will convert everything to hdmi right? No need for transcanner anymore.

this is what I was thinking, I just wanted to be sure the transcanner wouldn't offer any additional benifits.
With the gamma forcing the neg sync. I'm hoping the reciever will take care of all components. Can anyone validate the fact that the remote control will control the settings for the dwin or is transcanner needed for that?

I have 2 DWINs.
Get rid of the Transcanner!
You can control all the functions of the projector with the remote.
You will want to run the projector at either 1080i or 720p depending on your preferences. I run at 720p.
Setting up the input frequencies on the DWIN is a pain in the ass though. The manual makes no sense.
If your receiver can output output the same signal no matter what is input to it, then that is ideal.
I use a DVDO so everything is always output at 720p and I have complete control of color/hue, brightness etc as well as aspect ratio.
