Before I joined, I perused your site and found some very interesting things I didn't have a clue about. Still feel clueless but that's why I'm here. I look forward to you guys educating me a bit.

First of all, is it posible to get into a setup or calibration mode and adjust the iris? The picture is great but it just needs a little bit more brightness. I would like to stay in the iris mode as the light in the room changes quite a bit.

I ran across a thread about the HDFury and in that thread someone mentioned that you can get into Mitsu RPTVs and enter a calibration mode. The thread referred to a different model but I tried it on mine just for kicks. Unfortuantely it didn't work.

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

I've also discovered the HDFury2 while searching this site and am thinking this may be the hot ticket for my tv. To make a long story short, I was going sell it because it can only do a 480P DVD and get an 82" new Mitsu DLP. But after looking at them at the store, I'm not really sold on their picture quality. Especially the brighness. Seems the just used all the components from the 65" DLP and jammed them into the 73" and 82" models. I'll do a little more reading in the HDFury area and maybe throw a post up there.

Thanks again. Thumbs Up

Here is the service manual. DO NOT PRESS 1, 2, or 3 on the remote while in the 57 menu.
