Would putting a Furman rack mount power conditioner on top of the Marquee 9500 help clean up the power supply noise or would it cause more interference to happen? The 9500 is ceiling mounted so I would just slip it on top.

I could also mount it in the attic and run wires down but I don't like the idea of not seing it, and if it trips I would have to go into the attic to reset it.

Any thoughts?

That Furman won't do diddly. CHeck out some 'power conditioning' threads over at the >$20K avs forum. There's some good info there, interspersed by my 'it won't do a damn thing' comments. Smile

Unless you have known noisy power coming into the house, any of these power conditioners won't do anything for you, and are a cash grab.

If you want truly clean power, you need a power regeneration device that uses the incoming AC to charge batteries, then there's a true sinewave inverter that takes the battery DC and converts it to AC again. That totally isolates the AC power at the output from the incoming AC. It won't be a $45 unit though. Mr. Green

Anything that the $45 box has in it, the SMPS in the Marquee has it already within the unit.

Yep, open the LVPS and you'll find it enclosed in an aluminum cover right after the AC connector.

With the that cover removed:
