Just curious who took the $200 G90 home yesterday in San Deigo and what was the condition. I just barely missed it.

It was on C/L and I just missed it myself. I thought it was too good to be true. Probably a fake ad.

Not a fake. Seller's name was Carl Edmond. The seller contacted me as someone was looking at it and said I could have it if they didn't take it. He even wrote back to tell me it sold.

Put them on Craigslist for $200. apparently that's the only way to get rid of G90's nowadays...

I kinda wondering if they guy did not realize his mistake of advertising it so cheaply. It might turn up for sale at a more realistic price in the near future. He has other stuff for sale and he's not giving those things away, so he may have pulled it. Otherwise someone beat the rest of us to a hell of a deal.

I usually check on a fairly regular basis to see what is out there in the way of CRT PJ's on Craigslist. The day it went up, I was doing something way more important, so I could care less about missing out on the deal.

Who else checks for CRT PJ's on a fairly regular basis?

That's crazy though, the guy has all kinds of expensive equipment for sale and he knows the value of the PJ and that is the only thing he lists for almost nothing!

Probably because it's big and heavy and hard to move.

I had that happen too though. I paid $600 for a G90, and the a/v seller didn't want the hassle of fielding questions about something he knew nothing about, so I snagged it. Turns out the G and B tubes were roasted, but still, I sold the lenses and working Ya board for a good portion over what I paid for the set and shipping.. and still have 90% of the other parts in stock.

Yeah, but who puts in the ad that it was 35K new and then sells it for $200.00. He spent enough time checking into the new value, would be real easy to see the used value. Giving away a couple grand is silly.

I love CL bargains. My son picked up a pair of Klipsch Heresy IIs for free. It was a 10 minute ride for him. The guy said his wife was tired of looking at them and needed them out of the house. They were in mint condition.

You guys crack me up. What a bunch of projector whores Laughing It's understandable that that Curt would scope this stuff out because that's what he does for a living but the rest of you? Rolling Eyes I don't even bother to look anymore as I don't need it. These days with the economy the way it is, you can find great deals on just about anything. If I bought everything that was "such a good deal I couldn't pass it up" I would have no money for food.

I'm selling Tower Bridge in London for 1/10th it's actual value if anyones interested. Thumbs Up
