TV/Projector: All of them!

I've got a customer in the 772 area code (not sure if she's right in Vero Beach) that has a strange problem.

She has a Barco D808s with an internal doubler and external scaler. It was sold by TAW I think back in the day. She has no picture, although the on screen menus are fine, IRIS works, etc.

Over the last 3-4 months, I've sent her the video switching boards, then a line doubler module (only found out about the line doubler about 2 months into this), still no pix. She can't quite tell me the signal routing, so I don't even know if she is using the internal doubler, or if she's going through the scaler. She gets no video on any inputs.

So what I need is someone to go there (no warranty on this call, you get paid for it), to assess how the system is set up, and maybe get rid of everything, and switch her to an HDFury and HD, which I don't think she has at this point.

In other words, I'm pretty sure the projector works fine, this is a cabling/signal issue.

Can anyone help?

I could do it, but it would take me awhile to get up there. It is about 150 miles one way. Your two best bets are Scott and CJ. Although, I am not sure how good that Scott guy is.Smile

Cmon Curt, you should be able to walk her through it. If She's using the internal doubler, she's only feeding it s-video or composite. If that's the case, connect that cable to a regular tv to test it. If She's connected with a breakout cable, connect a PC monitor to the processor. Does she have the projector set to the correct input?
She must be ugly with little breasts for you to pan her off to someone else Laughing

Nice going Chip, I linked her to this thread.

We did walk through it, but I don't get how everything is connected, and neither does she. I don't want her connecting or disconnecting anything, I need someone on site that knows basic video hookups. THe setup is about 8 years old, it can't be that hard, and I don't know that she even needs the internal doubler...

Anyone?
