Hi!

What do you guys recommend for a floor standing CRT?
I've heard of both way in this

If you set things up properly you can get more raster area (since the tube is actually rounded) and if there's any 16:9 wear it's probably already in the center.

I suspect you're also likely to find edge/corner focus rather better.

I'd only go with setup 2 if you've got some really bizarre physical setup that makes anything else IMPOSSIBLE, aren't worried about ever having to change it, and haven't got any wear on the tubes. I'm not sure, in that case, whether you'd be better off shifting the image on the raster as with #2 or tilting the PJ and using more trapezoid adjustment... Hard to say.

And for the built in raster, can i resize the height to 16:9? or a bit perhaps?
To get more zone adjustment in the central area
