I'm running a Sony 1272 with the Moome HDMI card with the DVDO VP30. 720p looks awful (small and warped) but 1080i seems fine.

I'm imputing 720p to the VP30 from an HDX1000 media player

Any ideas? Am I missing something?

Have you done a setup on your 1272 for 720p?

mmm this is probably the newbie in me coming out - I configured the PJ in whatever Sony's default settings are (480p?) then copied this over to all the other memory blocks.

I'm not 100% sure how to set the PJ in 720p to configure - perhaps there's a corresponding hz frequency for 720p and i can choose that memory block to edit?

Hello. PAL land i see. If you have selected 720P @ 50hz from DVDO, then you got small picture. Pal resolutions has wery big porches (unused pixels before/after active picture area) So you can create custom resolution from 720P, Just select user mode -> advanced from DVDO:s menu and go to Output menu ->resolution-> 720P -> right arrow and you can modify those timings (front-/back porch)
Also do search for "Porch", you got much more info.
