Notice in the first two auctions "Reserve Not Met" under the opening bid price. This projector was never priced at $300., since it had a reserve which would prevent anyone from winning the item unless they met the reserve. I'd guess the reserve was $3000., seller doesn't know his market, hasn't done any research and will pay for that in ebay fees which are higher for reserve auctions.
I'd bet the amount he already owes ebay in fees is more than the ultimate value of the projector...he'll figure that out in a year when its still for sale...

Yep! I saw the Reserve on the 1st 2 auctions. Maybe it's me but if you get NO bids at a $300 opening bid, why increase it to $3000? I could see keeping the reserve and dropping the opening bid.
