Yes, the 5111 plays back 1080p mkv files flawlessy in Boxee. Overall, you can't beat what you get in this deal - HDMI output, wireless n, dual core 64 bit processing, built-in IR receiver (I can use my Harmony remote without an adapter), 4 GB RAM, Gb LAN, small form factor, etc. This is a perfect budget HTPC that has some great features. Make sure you update your bios. Burn the ROM to a CD and you can flash it straight from the bios without having to create a boot floppy. Oh yeah, did I mention Asus included overclocking? Don't go too crazy as the system gets a little warm at stock speeds. I recommend this system.

Maybe...but you're missing my point. This is a client box.
You have the BR drive in your other PC ripping the BR's to MKV's...then serve them to these clients.
1080p BR's for all with wireless N and HDMI out.

The PC is low for Home Theater use i think it should be atleast Cor 2 Duo
