Ok, so this cannot be said about recent movies and I only thought about it after watching Bullitt (HD) again this afternoon.
There is a scene early on where Delgetti wakes Bullitt up. He walks up to the refrigerator and pulls out a can of juice. No, not one of those current-style 6 ounce cans, but those older half-gallon cans. How nostalgic. Then Bullitt opens a jar of instance coffee and puts some into a cup with cold water. He also puts into the cup one of those electric water warmers.
Holy crap I must be reaching the ages--I was 3 when that movie came out.
