Anyone around Atlanta going to this as it is in Atlanta, GA? I'm not in the biz so I cannot walk into the World Congress Center is any indication of the CEDIA website has anything to imply.

I will be there for three days. There are a lot of people going. AVS (I know you have an issue with them) is having a party tonight at Shout on Peachtree and 14th.
As far as getting in, it was easier than I thought, so you could go. I walked up and filled out a quick application. I have a business, but you could make one up. They aren't going to check. You pay $50 (the website said $75) and your in. I didn't have to show them anything other than the money. I don't think they are going to turn anyone away.
I will talk about it some more later as I am walking out the door. I was impressed with what I saw yesterday. Ken did the calibration on Joe Kane's demo (I think that is what he said). The Samsung looked very impressive.

I went twice when in the show was in Denver. I wanted to go this year, but couldn't make it.
You don't really need a business, nor do you need to make one up. It's not a stretch at all to go as an engineer from AT&T or whatever. You could be researching for your employer... Who's integrating wireless products, how are they using them, etc. They just put the "business rule" out there to keep most of the Joe and Judy Sixpacks out of the show (as if the admission fee wouldn't do that by itself).
I'm not sure if I'd spend $75 or not... Ouch. Preregistration was $50, which I could tolerate - especially if you were going for more than a day, and actually had something important you were researching for yourself.
Oh, and thanks for offering to keep us updated on the "must-see" stuff, Spanky... I haven't been able to keep up on the news about the cool announcements... I'll have to go back and wade through my emails this weekend. Onkyo and Integro announced new AVR's and PrePro's... That's about all I know.

I wonder if CEDIA would tolerate me. I'm not known for being nice, but rather asking difficult questions like, "how much for your women?"
And I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go to any AVS party after they booted me from AVS like a Bazillion years ago.
