I am new at crt projection but i have learned that curtpalme's website is comprehensive and contains most and answer to most questions. Then, can someone point to me where i could find an article that shows how to reverse the image. My projector is sitting on the table but soon i am going to bolt it upside down from the ceiling. How can i reverse the image?

Welcome!
We could tell you if we knew what projector you had...but until then, check out this page: http://www.curtpalme.com/TechTips.shtm

What's the make/model of the projector as it will be different for each model...

See if you can find your model in the section on the left there - the manual should have the information you need!
Thanks
Ben

oops exactly what was I thinking when i posted that? My apologies. The projector is an Electrohome Marquee 8500. Also the synch lights keeps giving me an error and apparently i need to resit the hdm card. Whats the quickest way (minimal disassembly) to remove, clean and reseat this card?

dturco Thanks for the response. Your answer was quite adequate. Am sorry about your drop. It is not easy moving these things around, and specially when you do it yourself. I understand grief, a bit like getting ready to watch a movie and the sync red light comes on, %*#!
thanks
Eventually i would like to purchase a 9500 lc ultra. or even a barco reality 909. But i feel that the 9500 is more abundant and parts are easier to come by. an the actual difference is minimal.

But i feel that the 9500 is more abundant and parts are easier to come by. an the actual difference is minimal. | On a proper screen, with good tubes, and good running condition an 8500 will throw a stunning picture. I had a visitor from Florida recently who told me "If I can my 9500 looking as good as this I will be very happy" He was looking at my 8500 with MP and HD mods on a 52 "x 92" Draper M1300 screen.
Don't get stuck on 8 inch or 9 inch, there's plenty of other little details that can make or break the picture quality.
