I got new fans for my ECP 4100 and the connectors on the projector are female and the fan connectors on my new fans are also female. is there some kind of coupler i can get to connect the two together?

I'd assume some 18 gauge solid wire would work, but why not just cut and splice?

I would cut them, slide some shrink tubing on one end, solder them together then shrink it closed. quick and easy!

yeah i was going to splice but the fans on the electrohome has some capacitor on a tiny board and the fan plugs into that. so do i need that? or is that just part of the old fan?
