Hi,

I want to know what configuration will be better to get maximum specs of my nec xg 1351LC.

DVDO VP-20 (connected via HDMI) + Moome HDMI 1.3 expansion card for my nec

DVDO VP-30, 50 or 50 PRO (connected via BNC-RGBHV)

In other forum has recommended a Lumagen, but I discarded it before because it has dvi-d output, but if you think is better i will take in consideration.

What of these solutions will be better for my nec?? excluding prize only vision quality

Also other better configurations will be take in consideration.

I will be agree if you make an opinion of the two options I got and that will be better??

Thank You

I have seen in other post that a digital input cannot be out by analog output... It will abort this option (DVD VP-30, 50 or 50 PRO (connected via BNC-RGBHV))

The Moome MUX HD will take care of the HDCP so you can use HDMI in to the VP and analog out.

So what?

DVI-D only has a bit depth limitation over HDMI (it only does 8 bit while HDMI can also do 10 and 12 bit). All media we have accept for games is 8 bit, so if not playing games, it does not matter.

If you are playing games, you don't want them processed by the video processor anyway, so if you went with Lumagen, you could get cheap HDMI switch. Run all video sources to Lumagen then switch, run game sources straight to switch.

The Lumagen HDP is a very good value used.

But, the real question is why do you want a VP? What are you hoping to accomplish (frame rate conversion, gamma curve mods, scaling, etc)? I still maintain that most people with 8" PJs don't "need" a VP--in other words it will only add a very small value for *most* users. Which VP is best, depends upon why you want one.
